Students at Year 10 Discovery Day

Year 10 Discovery Day

Year 10 Discovery Day is an excellent opportunity for students to visit the Casuarina campus and experience university life while exploring the study options available at CDU.

Students can attend four different breakout sessions. Each session is run by one of CDU’s schools and showcases course options and career opportunities as well as providing practical activities. Breakout sessions are run in lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, workshops and laboratories, giving students the opportunity to feel what it's like to attend classes on campus. Students can also undertake a campus tour.

Breakout Sessions are run in the following areas of study including:

  • business
  • children’s services
  • construction, drafting and industry
  • education
  • engineering
  • exercise and sport science
  • information technology
  • medical laboratory science
  • medicine
  • multimedia
  • nursing
  • pharmacy
  • psychology
  • social work
  • humanitarian and community services
  • visual arts

Please note: All participants must wear closed-in shoes. Hats and water bottles are also recommended.

Morning tea and drinks are provided, however students will need to bring their own lunch or buy it at the cafeteria on campus.

The 2017 event will be held on Friday June 2nd. Contact us for more information.
