Year 9 students
Year 9 is the time to start exploring what study and career path you may want to take. You may not know exactly what you want to do, but you can start asking yourself questions like:
- What am I good at?
- What do I like to do?
- Do I have hobbies that I am passionate about?

VSS helps you develop job-ready skills while completing high school. CDU offers a range of VET programs for secondary school students across the Northern Territory.

Science and Engineering Challenge
A fun day of competition for Year 9 and 10 students that showcases science and engineering professional opportunities. Up to 16 teams participate in hands-on science and engineering activities. This is a great event to attend if you're interested in a career in science or engineering.

ConocoPhillips Science Experience
A three-day science, engineering and IT event. Take part in hands-on practical science-based activities, tours of science learning environments and field trips to local places of special scientific interest. Get information about the many careers, study opportunities in science, engineering and technology.

CDU Open Day
Held annually at CDU's Casuarina campus, this popular community event showcases all of CDU's VET and Higher Education study opportunities. For prospective students, this event is a perfect opportunity to explore our campus and talk with lecturers and current students.

The NT Skills, Employment and Career Expos are a brilliant opportunity to explore potential career options and gain information on employment, training and education pathways. CDU has information stalls at numerous career expos throughout the year, both in the NT and interstate.

VET for Secondary Schools Information Days
An opportunity for students, teachers and parents to attend information sessions about CDU VSS courses at different campuses, and to view the different learning spaces where each course is run. Attendees will have the chance to speak with class trainers to get an insight into different VSS programs.
